Welcome to our website
The group is created by Zussa Ryba and Lisette Halasy.
1. Social Islands are Linden land areas and we must be 100% loyal to the TOS and any Linden Lab employee in world.
2. The goal is to be nice to new residents on the island and help them, and also to be helpful to any resident regardless of age and where we meet them.
3. Every language is of equal value in the group.
4. We have no special rights on the Social Islands, other than to come there and help new residents.
5. If we meet griefers, we will not fight them in any way, just withdraw and eventually write ARs.
6. There are 3 roles in the group:
- Social Island Mentor - The moderators with special group rights.
- Social Island Helper - Requires at least 1 year experience in Second Life, experience from other helper groups and a group invite accepted by at least 2 mentors.
- Social Island Greeter - Requires at least 3 months experience in Second Life and a group invite accepted by a mentor.
7. Alts can be invited to the group on equal terms as no-alts.
8. Only a mentor can suggest changes to these rules to the group owners.
Hello Social Islanders!
This is a general info for helpers and greeters at the new LL Social Islands who belong to the Social Island Helper group.
-About the group roles:
The Mentor role is just for adm and mod purposes in the group, we do not wear the tags.
We are all helpers or greeters.
-About the group status and helping:
We are helper guests at the Social Islands, we have no other function other than to help the newcomers dropping in. And - we help in our own way, there are no helper bosses in the group, and the experienced helpers can only give advices on how to help.
We do not interfere in other helpers work..
I can give you Till Pierce's mentor behaviour rules if you ask for them....
-About the Social Islands:
LL built these islands for the newcomers. They want them to stay at the islands and enjoy them and socialize as long as possible. We must therefore mingle with them and walk around the island and help them in the various areas of the islands. I often dance with them and then they are more relaxed to receive info and other help.
